How are you guys doing? I feel like I haven’t blogged in AGES!
You know what else I haven’t done in ages? A review dedicated to one book!
So, today’s review is on ‘the swan kingdom’ by Zoë Marriot, it’s probably my favourite book, so I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed it for you yet!
The main character, Alexandra, lives in a great, beautiful village that is perfectly in balance with nature. That is, until her mother dies, then everything changes, her father (the leader of the village) becomes bewitched with a mysterious woman he found in the woods. Alexandra is convinced that a wild animal could not have killed her mother in the woods and that foul magic must be at play.
Her brothers and her try their best to bring their father to his senses before the wedding but disaster strikes, and when Alexandra wakes up she’s on her way to Midland to stay with her aunt.
What killed her Mother?
What are the woman found in the wood’s intentions?
Will Alexandra ever return to her home and free her brothers?
And will Alexandra discover her magical talent?
I strongly recommend this book, it is SO good!
I got it a couple of years ago in a second hand book shop for only £1.50, SUCH a good deal!
