Series I want to read this year

Hey Happy Bookworms!

I’ve been through a flash of inspiration lately and so have finally got some proper book blogger content for you and not just tags! (I love tags but in moderation)

So here are some series I want to read this year – I’ve got some classics, some re-reads, some hypes, so please enjoy (um…I don’t know what that was…)

  • Caraval

I’ve heard a lot of positives about this one so I’m excited to try it out this year and see what I think!

  • The Selection

I LOVE the selection! I ever named my cacti after America ๐Ÿ˜‚ so this one’s a definitely on my re-TBR!

  • Harry Potter

Ok, hardcore readers block your ears – I’ve never actually read the whole series of Harry Potter. BECAUSE I’ve only ever had them read to me when I was younger and I think I may have read or started the philosopher’s stone….but this year I want to do it properly!

  • The Lunar Chronicles

I’m so excited to start this series! One of my Goodreads friends has heavily recommended it and she said the series only gets better as it goes on so what more could you want?!

  • The One Dollar Horse

I haven’t read this series in ages but I love it so much so can’t wait to get to know all the characters all over again!

  • The Hunger Games

Another classic I’ve never read – I loved the movies so can’t wait to get the *authentic* book experience!

  • Shatter Me

This is a new addition to my TBR list which I should not be reading because I should be trying to tackle older books and it’s got some pretty mixed reviews so I’m going to tread carefully but I really want to read it!

Can I just mention how I ended every book with an exclamation mark? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway, we had Matt Killeen (author of Orphan, Monster, Spy) come to our school to do a creative writing workshop which was cool. I was really pleased that my English teacher put me down to go but it was super awkward since I was with a bunch of people I didn’t know very well…

Have you read any of the above? Any series you plan on reading or rereading this year?ย

Also happy world book day! โค

Bye!

I had my DofE trip (idk if u know but itโ€™s a thing in England where you have to do different sections – volunteering, skill, physical, expedition) anyway, it was my expedition so we had to go camping & carry like the big heavy rucksacks around while we hiked through the countryside and BOY WAS IT PAINFUL

Ooooh enjoy reading through Harry Potter and The Hunger Games for the first time โ€“ย if I could have those experiences over, I definitely would! โค I'm going to try to reread both of those series this year โ€“ย I'm excited just at the prospect.

I really want to read the series on this list that I haven't yet now! I've heard the Lunar Chronicles are AMAZING, and I've never heard of The One Dollar Horse or The Selection but now I'm intrigued ๐Ÿ˜€

I enjoyed reading the hunger games but I kinda thought theyโ€™d be better with all the hype :/ but I am still really excited for Harry Potter!
Yes! Iโ€™ve read Cinder now & I am SO excited to continue! Marissa Meyer is the queen of fairytale retellings! Iโ€™d definitely recommend Heartless by her too because – oh my god – I loved that book!
And you should definitely check out the selection – such a swoon! *cringes* I canโ€™t believe I just said that but ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ
I havenโ€™t read the one dollar horse in ages so Iโ€™m excited to go back to one of little meโ€™s favourites!
      Thanks for the comment! ๐Ÿ’•

Thatโ€™s great! Iโ€™m currently on my last hunger games & have really enjoyed it!
I know, sometimes I hate all the book bloggers I follow for adding fuel to my TBR fire! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

Uhmmm *takes deep breath and breathes into paper bag*. Youโ€™ve not read Harry Potter ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sorry, I love Harry Potter and Iโ€™m definitely a hardcore reader (is that a good or a bad thing? ๐Ÿ˜‚) but for Christmas my parents bought me the Hunger Games series (books and films) so I am very excited to read and watch them x
Look like some good book youโ€™ve got on your TBR list! ๐Ÿ’ž

I know, I know, I know! How could I?! But the plan is to read it maybe the summer holidays? I just want to be able to read them all in one go, uninterrupted!
Hey, being a hardcore reading is definitely a good thing! *high fives* โœ‹
Iโ€™ve seen all the hunger games movies and they were great but the books are always better so I am literally SO EXCITED!! ๐Ÿ˜

I don’t judge for not having read Harry Potter yet. I also took forever to pick up the series and I still have yet to finish! I stopped after Order of the Phoenix, because the last two books are massive and super intimidating. I pray that 2019 will be the year I’ll finally finish this one!
I haven’t finished The Lunar Chronicles either, and I don’t know why, truly. The first book, Cinder, is absolutely amazing, so I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did when you pick it up. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I agree, the whole Harry Potter experience is pretty intimidating, it just takes up so much time which I never seem to have enough of! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But hopefully I can at least get a good way through the series this year!
All the good comments on this post have just got me even more excited for the lunar chronicles!

I was really late to the Harry Potter reading game as well– it was only 2 years ago when I first read them but they were really good!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
And yes I love the lunar chronicles and it definitely gets better as the series goes on. The last two books are ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
And I have never read the hunger games series either but I adore the films. I hope you enjoy the books!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

There are just so many good books that Iโ€™m looking forward to reading this year!!! I hope I can get round to reading all of them (or at least as many as I can cram in, a bookwormโ€™s gotta eat after all…๐Ÿ˜‚)
