Hey Happy Bookworms!
How you all doing?
I just had my tester day at school for options and some of it was really fun and some not so much but it’s all cool.
Anyway, today I’m doing a blogger award that I got nominated for by the lovely Rhi! This was one of the blogmas posts and I know that I’ve been nominated for even older tags & awards but I’ve got a list and I will get round to all of them!
Rules:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
- Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
- List the rules and display the sunshine blogger award logo in your post/or on your blog
Rhi/May’s questions:
1) What book brings back the fondest memories?
The swan kingdom by ZoΓ« Marriott. I remember getting it in this 2nd hand book shop in Wales & I got it for like 99p or something, so score! But I just love it so much!
2) Where is the craziest place youβve ever read?
Um…idk! What about – on the stairs. I know it’s not really crazy but it’s kinda weird. When I was younger sometimes I just really liked sitting on the stairs – I was a weird kid, ok?!
3) Which book is closest to you right now?
Well, I’m right next to the book case in our spare bedroom but that’s full of my parents’ books so other than that ‘The Siren’ by Kiera Cass (I’m gonna be reading it soon!)
4) What is a book you could reread a million times?
THE SWAN KINGDOM! If you know me in real life – you know I CANNOT reread books, I just remember it all & it completely ruins it for me but I do reread the swan kingdom, quite a lot actually and I don’t know, I just love it every time. (This is turning into a the swan kingdom appreciation post!)
5) Is there any fictional character that you see yourself in?
hmmm….I know I see bits of myself in characters but I can’t think of one in particular. π€·ββοΈ
6) When is your favourite time to write blog posts?
Just before they go up π³ I know, I know! It’s bad but I just haven’t really had the time BUT I am going to be doing some blog writing over the holidays so I can actually have some pre-written posts for when I’m busy.
7) Have you ever read a book outside of your comfort genre that turned out to be a favourite?
A favourite? Probably not but I have really loved some mystery/thrillers that I’ve read, like the cheerleaders & 13 minutes.
8) Name 3 books that you feel impacted you personally.
ok um..
- the swan kingdom (What a surprise!)
- Moonrise (Sooooooo sad)
- The one dollar horse
9) What is the worst book to film adaptation?
I haven’t really watched a bunch of adaptions & I don’t want to call one of them the worse!
10) What is the longest book you read in one sitting?
I like never read books in one sitting, idk I just don’t.
11) Lastly, and the most important question ever, do you like pineapple on your pizza?
N.E.V.E.R.
Ok, I’m just gonna nominate some of the people I’ve been talking to recently! If you’ve done it before feel free to do it again or just pass! β€
Amber @ Ambersreadsonline / Me & Ink / Lu @ It’s Lu again / Kiwi / Angelica @ Thebookcovergirl / Indigo / Xandra @ Starryskybooks / Isa / Lais @ Thebookishskies / Clo / Life with Fizzabel
My questions:
- What’s one place you’d like to go in your country?
- If a fire started RIGHT NOW what’s one thing that you’d save in the room that you’re in?
- What’s a wish that you’ve had forever?
- Who’s one person you wish you knew in real life?
- If all your basic needs were payed for and you were only allowed to spend money on one more thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Books, necklaces, you get what I mean)
- What’s one thing you wish you payed more attention to in your life?
- If you could get a(nother) pet, what would it be?
- Now what would you name them?
- What’s a book you wish you’d written?
- What’s one of your hobbies that people might not know about?
- How’s your day? π
Thanks for reading!
What are your answers to my questions?
Bye!
El xox
Hiya El!
And once again Iβve missed ANOTHER award I am literally so sorry I missed this π I think you nominated for another Sunshine Blogger Award so I might combine both of them if that is cool π Anyways, love this! The One Dollar Horse (well, the whole trilogy) really did impact me, at one point I think I was on the brink of tears in the last book, damn that book got into my head ππ₯ I think the weirdest place I have ever read was sitting on just this random wall and taking out my book, it was one of the best moments of my life but strange π (I dnβt usually sit on random walls, no judging π) Iβm exactly the same! No fictional character exactly fits me but I see myself fleetingly in a lot π
Absolutely love this post π

ps. PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA IS THE BEST, DO NOT DISGRACE THE POWER OF SWEET AND SAVOURY π

And yessssss! I honestly havenβt read the trilogy for so long but Iβm planning on a reread soon!
The wall sounds kinda cool – a lot cooler than my stairs π
PS: PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA?! You disgrace me! We cannot be friends now! π‘π

El, thank you so much for nominating me! I love your questions and I’ll definitely answer them in the future!
I’m surprised you don’t like re-reading, because that’s one of my favorite things! I do understand the feeling of not being surprised at all, but I think I kinda like the comfort of knowing what to expect. I was re-watching Gossip Girl these days, and there’s actually a moment where Nate confronts Blair as to why she likes to re-watch the same movies, over and over again. And she answers that is because she likes the idea that she knows what will happen next, as it gives her some control. That’s pretty much me. I can’t take the thrill of being at the edge of your seat that well. For some books, it’s definitely exciting, but I definitely prefer to know what to expect beforehand (probably why I read so many reviews before picking up a book!)

Thatβs actually really interesting!
I kinda get what you mean as I reread some books which I kinda regard as my βcomfort booksβ but usually I dislike rereading & prefer to read new books with new stories.
Youβre welcome & hope you enjoy!
